Gok to Launch Cookery Show

Gay fashion stylist Gok Wan, whose caring attitude and helpful hints on high-street fashion have won him much acclaim, is to launch a cookery programme. The thirty-seven year old is reported by MSN News to be working with Channel Four Television on a programme. However, the station's proposal to call the show 'Gok's Wok' was quickly vetoed by the celebrity, who said that the show was much more serious than that.

"Insanely Homophobic" Woman is Suffering from Mental Health Issues

LGBT campaigners have long argued that hatred and fear of gay and trans people is irrational, and an indicator of deep-seated psychological problems. This week, there is some evidence for this conclusion, as a woman described by some commentators as “insanely homophobic” is diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia. The woman, Jane Svoboda, is subject of a Facebook page which has nearly three thousand followers, and recently gave evidence to a hearing in Nebraska on LGBT rights.

Study Reveals that Leaving Fundamentalism is Good for Sex Life

A new book by a former member of a fundamentalist religion says that sexual performance and happiness improves greatly when extremist religious believes are abandoned. According to the atheist magazine The Freethinker, psychologist Darryl Ray has studied people from a variety of fundamentalist religious backgrounds, including Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Seventh Day Adventists. The resulting book, Sex and God, examines why religion is so interested in sex and how sexual restrictions are imposed by major religions.

Steps Rally Round Watkins After Miscarriage

Ian Watkins, better known as "H" from the pop band Steps, revealed this weekend that his surrogate baby has sadly been miscarried. Ian and his partner Craig Ryder are hoping to raise a child together and had even been thinking of names, according to a report in one of the Sunday papers. His bandmates have rallied round and given support to the couple.
